Self-Assembly of Modified Carbon Nanotubes into Biomimetic Synthetic Cells
Keywords: Carbon Nanotubes, Biomimetics, Self-Assembly
We are interested in the self assembly and general behavior of tiny structures that could be used to mimic cell membrane behavior. For instance, we have developed a new technique to cut carbon nanotubes to lengths that are smaller than those reported to date. These structures exhibit interesting physical properties and also self-assembly behavior. Techniques used to characterize these assemblies include high resolution TEM and AFM.
