Minhee Yun’s main research focus is in sensor and device
fabrication using nano-structured materials including
single conducting polymer and metal
nanowires, which is defined as smaller than 100 nm in size.
Nanostructured materials such as nanowire (NW), carbon nanotube
(CNT), and nanoparticles (NP) offer much promise for advances in
bio-medicine area due to possible enhanced sensitivity and
selectivity.
In his previous work, conducting polymers (polyaniline
and polypyrrole), and metals (Pd and Ag) are used
for the fabrication of single nanowire sensor to detect DNA and
Hydrogen
Gases.
