Ensure Pitt ID Type is Compatible

Access to the NFCF facilities is by use of either a Prox Card or a Pitt ID with a Prox Chip.

If you have one of these, please send the numbers from the back of the card at top-right to nfcfadmn@pitt.edu.  If you do not know if your ID has a chip or not, look on the back of the card: the number will be 5 digits in length, in the upper right corner of the ID card, above the magnetic stripe.

Pitt users who do not have a card with a Prox Chip will need to go to Panther Central and tell them you need one to access the NFCF.

For outside users who do not have a Pitt ID card, NFCF staff will provide a form to initiate a request for your door access card at the end of orientation. You may email nfcf@pitt.edu to inquire about confirmation as well.  After this card is obtained, the prox number in the lower right portion of the card can be provided to nfcfadmn@pitt.edu for door access activation processing.

If you are unsure, you can bring your card to your orientation walk through for confirmation of the type of card you have.

Once you have completed the Online Portion of the NFCF registration.  The next steps include Walk-through confirmation.  You may return to the complete New User instructions overview by clicking here.
